Don't You Remember

Long line black faux fur gilet – Topshop
Stripey jumper – Topshop
Faux leather panel leggings – Topshop
Boots – Topshop
Vintage key necklaceA Wardrobe Full Of Dreams shop

I love looking at what people wear every day and it has inspired me to start my own Outfit Of The Day posts. However, I don’t have the best camera and no body really to take photos for me so whilst I get those problems sorted, I thought I would just start with simply laying my outfits down to photo them.

This is what I wore today. I didn’t realise I was wearing all Topshop though until I wrote this (oops!). I had a day off work today and had a few errands to run in town and lots of housework to do so I chose something simple and cosy to wear.

I bought the gilet the other day from Topshop. It was down to £35 which I was really happy with because I had been eyeing it when it was full price. I’m really pleased with it because it is so soft and can be thrown over any jumper for extra warmth and cosyness.

I wasn't sure about the leggings when I first bought them because they were super tight on me, which, when reading some of the reviews on the website, others have found. But I think with wear they will give a little bit. I don't usually like wearing leggings with a top but because these are quite thick, they look ok when wearing a jumper with them.

I know there pictures aren’t the best so please bear with me whilst I get sorted out :)

Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

Today's Nails - Polka dots and Florals

After this nail art inspiration post I did in November, I vowed to try some out, however ever since I did that post I have been so busy, that I just haven’t had the time. But today, having not much to do, I decided to try out a simple nail art - polka dots and flowers.

Ring - £3.50 A Wardrobe Full of Dreams Shop

Polka dots are so simple to do and always look cute with so many colour combinations but I always do polka dots on my nails and so I mixed it up a bit by drawing on little flowers on a couple of nails.

For this I used Boots 17 Fast Finish Nail Polish in Catwalk Couture as the base colour. For the polka dots and flower details, I used my nail art pens that I bought from Ebay, which I have found to be very good for the price I paid (about £10 for 24 colours).

For the flowers I used the dark pink pen to put several large dots on the nail followed by a smaller dot in the middle with the light pink pen. I then used the dark green pen to draw on little lines to look like leaves. I know they don’t look brilliant, but for a first go I don’t think I’ve done that bad!

I hope everyone’s having a great weekend. Mine has been fairly lazy but managed to plan a few blog posts for next week.

P.S. Don’t forget my Arty Inspired Rings are now just £3 (ending Monday 9th Jan)

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic festive period. Mine has been exceptionally busy with hardly any time to rest but amazing all the same! I can't believe how fast it has all gone though - over for another year :(

I really must apologise for my severe lack of posting over the last month. I have been super busy and just not had the time to write anything on my blog. But I promise to be a lot better this year – it’s one of my New Year’s Resolutions!

Here is a sneak peak of some of the gifts Santa left for me under the Christmas tree. I was extremely lucky to receive so many lovely gifts from my family and friends.

Christmas presents:
Sewing machine
Baking recipe books
Mixing bowls and cake tines
Topshop Giftcard
Soap and Glory gift set
Make up brushes
Make up
Candles
Ed Sheeran CD
Cath Kidston mug
Necklaces hanger
Pink Smarties
Chocolate coins
Wire storage pot (which I think I’m going to use for my make up brushes)
Slippers
Christmas socks
Christmas pyjamas
Me To You Christmas teddy
Diary
Calender

I got a lovely rich purple sewing machine from my parents which was a big surprise but is something that I have wanted for a while. I hope to do some craft posts for you soon with customised clothes and crafts/gifts. I’m just getting used to sewing again though, as I haven’t actually been on a sewing machine for a few years since school!

I've got some more blog posts planned for you for the rest of the week so I really have no excuse not to post!

In addition, as a New Years gift, I am offering my YSL Arty inspired rings for just £3 (50% off!!) for one week only!

Todays Nails – Nude polka dots

I’m only just starting to get into the whole nail art thing. I’ve not got a very steady hand so whenever I try a design it usually ends up looking rubbish! But today I thought I’d do something simple and do a fairly subtle polka dot nail design.

Nails - Nails Inc Caramel and white nail art pen
Ring - A Wardrobe Full of Dreams shop (Coming soon)

The base colour is Nails Inc Caramel which I got free a while ago with 2 bottles of diet coke in Boots. I tend to wear nude colours on my nails and this is currently one of my favourites as it goes on really easily and lasts for several days without chipping.

I did the polka dots using the white nail art pen from a set of 24 nail art pens that I bought from this seller on ebay after seeing Lily review them on her blog. It was only really the black, white and brown colours that I was after (to try leopard print nails) and for £10 I think they are definitely worth the price for simple nail art designs especially when the Models Own pens are £6 each.

What's your favourite nail art design?
