What I Bought - Cath Kidston Deer Jumper

Today, I wanted to share with you one of my recent purchases – this Cath Kidston deer jumper from their Christmas 2012 collection.

It is a beautifully soft and chunky jumper which is perfect now that the weather has got so cold and the days are much shorter. I bought it in a medium which is perfectly slightly oversized to just throw on and snuggling into.

It is a little pricey at £70 but it will last for ages and see me through many winters. The deer print is absolutely gorgeous and by far my favourite Cath Kidston Christmas prints. Plus Bambi is one of my favourite Disney films so how could I resist this cute jumper?!

Don't You Remember

Long line black faux fur gilet – Topshop
Stripey jumper – Topshop
Faux leather panel leggings – Topshop
Boots – Topshop
Vintage key necklaceA Wardrobe Full Of Dreams shop

I love looking at what people wear every day and it has inspired me to start my own Outfit Of The Day posts. However, I don’t have the best camera and no body really to take photos for me so whilst I get those problems sorted, I thought I would just start with simply laying my outfits down to photo them.

This is what I wore today. I didn’t realise I was wearing all Topshop though until I wrote this (oops!). I had a day off work today and had a few errands to run in town and lots of housework to do so I chose something simple and cosy to wear.

I bought the gilet the other day from Topshop. It was down to £35 which I was really happy with because I had been eyeing it when it was full price. I’m really pleased with it because it is so soft and can be thrown over any jumper for extra warmth and cosyness.

I wasn't sure about the leggings when I first bought them because they were super tight on me, which, when reading some of the reviews on the website, others have found. But I think with wear they will give a little bit. I don't usually like wearing leggings with a top but because these are quite thick, they look ok when wearing a jumper with them.

I know there pictures aren’t the best so please bear with me whilst I get sorted out :)

Hope everyone is having a good week so far!

What I've Bought This Week - Sale Special

I tend to always prefer the new stuff that starts to come in around this time of year and so I wanted to save my money for that, instead of going crazy buying things I probably won’t get the wear out of. However, the more I tried to avoid the sales this year, the more I was drawn to them and I did find a few bits to buy in Topshop so I thought I'd share them with you.

Arrow Tan Cross Buckle Strap Ankle Boots - £30 down from £68

Madison Leopard Print Loafers - £15 down from £32

Arrow Tan Cross Buckle Strap Ankle Boots

I’ve wanted some tan leather ankle boots for a while so these are perfect. I love the colour and the buckle detail. They are so comfy too.

Madison Leopard Print Loafers

I was going to buy these at full price but never actually got around to get them so I was thrilled when I saw them in my local Topshop for less than half the price.

Teal Lace Skater Dress - £20 down from £48

I have the cream and cobalt blue versions of this already but I love skater style dresses as I think they really flatter my shape. When I saw this gorgeous teal dress I instantly fell in love and because I bought it in tall it is a slightly better length than the regular dresses.

Monochrome Peter Pan Collar Dress - £25 down from £50

I've got a tiny obsession for Peter Pan collars and the fit of this dress is lovely. Its a little big on me but I like that and it looks great dressed up or down.

Lace Pleated Tunic Dress - £20 down from £38

Again, I saw this at full price and instantly fell in love with it but I wasn't sure if I would get the wear out of it and so couldn't justify £38. It is really beautiful and I adore lace however, I have seen lots of people wear it as a dress without tights but even though I am only 5ft 4in there is no way I can do this! It seems so short on me!

What have you bought in the sales?

Recent Buys 02

I’ve had a fairly busy week this week with work and other commitments, and whilst I haven't had chance to go shopping, I still managed to do a bit of online shopping. I love online shopping but I’m always worried about the clothes not fitting properly or the quality is not as good I thought. But having said that, it is always exciting receiving beautifully wrapped parcels in the post!

This week I bought...

Embellished Collar dress - £65 Asos

I saw this dress in purple on Caroline Flack on the Xtra Factor a couple of weeks ago and instantly fell in love with it so when I found it on the ASOS website I immediately added it to my wishlist! I bought the black version because I think it’s the perfect Christmas party dress. I absolutely love the embellishment around the shoulders and the collar and I think it looks a lot more expensive than the £65 it cost. The open back is gorgeous too!

Now I can't wait for the Christmas parties to begin so I have the perfect excuse to wear it!
